New logistics powerhouse in China

(Essen / Shanghai, 09/15/2006) At the ‘transport logistic China 2006’ trade fair in Shanghai, Schenker will be highlighting the combined strength of Schenker and BAX as the new logistics powerhouse in China and on the global market.
“With about 3,000 staff and a closely knit network in China, the joint organization of Schenker and BAX in China will offer a wide range of integrated logistics services from a single source, to customers in the country as well as to customers from all over the world”, stated Dr. Thomas C. Lieb, as member of the Schenker Management Board responsible for global air and sea freight activities. The fair will also be opened by Dr. Norbert Bensel, Member of the Board of Management of Deutsche Bahn who is responsible for DB Logistics, the Transportation and Logistics Division. He will also participate in the events program of the trade fair, together with Dr. Thomas Lieb.
The trade fair at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) will be open from 19 to 22 September, daily from 9 am to 5 pm (on 22 September until 3 pm). The Schenker stand in hall W1 is number 419/520.
