Schenker ranked Top 100 3PL by Inbound Logistics Magazine

News Item Entered: Tuesday, August 01, 2006

(Toronto, Ontario August 1, 2006) Schenker, DB Logistics made the Top 100 3PL list in a recent survey conducted by Inbound Logistics Magazine.

“One key driver for our selection process was how a logistics partner enables innovation and/or growth for its customers. It is easier for a 3PL to benchmark direct savings for customers as a result of optimizing a transport network, or reducing an inventory-to-sales ratio. But it is just as important, in some cases more important, for a logistics partner to act as a business change agent, driving their customers' ability to grow, innovate, and compete. That is what Schenker does, and why we are happy to recognize Schenker as a 2006 Top 100 3PL,” said Felecia Stratton, editor of Inbound Logistics magazine.

"Selecting the annual Top 100 3PL providers is no small task, given the pace of change and the number of new entrants in the global outsourcing market. IL editors whittled this year's list from more than 500 companies through a comprehensive process of evaluating questionnaires, conducting research, and soliciting reader feedback. The goal is to provide a balanced and accurate assessment of IL readers' needs and the 3PLs IL magazine believe are best suited to meet their specific requirements." explained Felecia Stratton.
