Typhoon Nida update
Please be advised on this general advisory regarding the passage of Typhoon Nida in Hong Kong and south China.
Typhoon Nida has made landfall in Hong Kong, causing the cancellation of more than 150 flights entering and leaving the country. Cathay Pacific and Dragonair announced that no flights will push through until 14:00hrs today, at the earliest.
As of 16:00hrs of 2nd August, the typhoon signal has been lowered in Hong Kong. DB Schenker's local office as well as our office in Shenzhen have resumed normal operations since 15:00hrs. Air freight operations in the two offices have also resumed normal operations as well.
Port terminal gate operations for laden containers resumed as of 16:00hrs and empty container operations will resume at 18:00hrs.
Our Xiamen office is not affected by the typhoon and is functioning as per normal, but the Guangzhou office remains closed for today.
